Description: The Pittsburgh and Lake Erie Railroad, also known as the "Little Giant", was formed on May 11, 1875. Company headquarters were located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Description: Lake Erie is the fourth-largest lake by surface area of the five Great Lakes and the eleventh-largest globally. It is the southernmost, shallowest, and smallest by volume... and also one of the most polluted lakes in America. Over the past two centuries, settlement and the Industrial Revolution have dramatically changed the water quality of Lake Erie. By the late 1960s, environmental concerns were peaking as the lake was declared 'dead' due to excessive pollution. This vintage '70s style souvenir design celebrates Lake Erie as 'America's Toilet,' given the sad history of polluting this beautiful body of water. Featuring one of the many industrial sites responsible, hopefully, this one stands as a reminder to take care of our environment.
