Description: Now that Liz has lost her seat in Congress the media is making all sorts of excuses for her, trying to paint her failure to hold her seat as a "moral victory." She doesn't see the irony of conservative-bashing pundits telling everyone how irrational other conservatives were for not voting for her... because she's EXTREMELY conservative.

Description: Although one of the smaller contingents which participated in Operation Iraqi Freedom the Estonians were responsible for some of the rougher neighborhoods in Baghdad while I was there and provided staff officers at MNCI as well. I got this patch at the local souk... must have been enough being bought to make it worth their while.
Description: The 7th ADA was organized during the Spanish-American War and has the distinction of being the first U.S. Coast Artillery Corps unit in WWI to open fire... on the Western Front. Using railway guns. This was, in fact, the CAC's biggest contribution to the war effort, providing heavy artillery support to doughboys. Campaign credits include WWII, Korea and Vietnam. It has been equipped most recently with the HAWK and Patriot missile units and saw service in Desert Storm and (I believe) Southern Watch. This unit crest comes in left and right versions.
Description: I was stationed at Eskan Village in Saudi Arabia and was buying a few groceries at the small commissary there when the cashier picked up my can of Spam and asked if I had my ration card. I had no idea I needed one until then but I guess that explains that sleazy guy outside the gate...
Description: Back when communism was on the march around the world and American citizens were involved in providing the USSR with nuclear secrets there was a radio program and a movie by the name of I Was A Communist For the FBI, highlighting the efforts of the Bureau to defeat red plots in America. Sadly, the FBI has been weaponized against people who believe they have a right to own and bear arms, not to mention those crazies who don't want their kids exposed to drag show story hour.
Description: Single-sided design. The 4th ADA Regiment traces its lineage back to the War of 1812. When reactivated in the 1920s its batteries were part of the antiaircraft defenses of the Panama Canal Zone, and during WWII units served in both Italy and in the Pacific. In addition to combat in Vietnam the 4th ADA also participated in Operation Urgent Fury and the invasion of Panama.
Description: During my short time assigned to JTF-GTMO I was in briefings which discussed the downturn in living conditions in Cuba in general and the area around Guantanamo City. I also got to see the lengths Cubans would go through to escape Castro's regime and reach our little outpost of freedom.
