Description: Puffy white clouds drift over a small lake this landscape photograph taken at James H. "Sloppy" Floyd State Park in the North Georgia mountains. The shores are lined with tall pine trees that taper down to a small dam that separates the upper and lower lakes. It's a beautiful late summer day in the Chattahoochee National Forest in the foothills of the Appalachians. This is photo I took while I was camping and fishing in early September of 2021. The weather was spectacular, though the fish weren't really biting...though I did catch one bass. I liked the way the dam served as a focal point for the scene.
