Microbiologist Socks
Description: The Japanese word for "Erlenmeyer flask" is 三角フラスコ (sankaku furasuko). Also known as "conical flask" and "titration flask", Erlenmeyer flasks are used in chemistry and biology (specifically microbiology) and distinguish themselves through their wide bases and cylindrical necks. Wear this distressed science design if you are a chemistry or biology enthusiast or simply love Japan and the Japanese language. If you have a chemist, microbiologist or Japanese-speaking scientist in your life, buy it as a gift for them because Erlenmeyer flasks are way cooler than beakers or test tubes.
Description: Sir Alexander Fleming was a Scottish biologist, physician, microbiologist, and pharmacologist. His best-known discoveries are the enzyme lysozyme in 1923 and the world's first antibiotic substance benzylpenicillin (Penicillin G) from the mould Penicillium notatum in 1928, for which he shared the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 1945 with Howard Florey and Ernst Boris Chain. He wrote many articles on bacteriology, immunology, and chemotherapy.
