The motel has a storied past, featured in films and TV shows such as L.A. Confidential, The Rockford Files, and the 1972 film Hit Man. However, it gained notoriety for its seedy reputation, including a 1963 armed robbery and a 1986 murder linked to the Billionaire Boys Club
