She is the Celtic goddess of birth and death, and as such is the perfect embodiment of what this card symbolises. Also known as the Phantom Queen, The Morrigan is more well-known for her relationship with death and the battlefield. Her association with battle implies that she is an indiscriminate bringer of death. The inevitable cycle of life and death cannot be controlled or evaded.
