Description: The Toy Tiger of Louisville, Kentucky was home to all kinds of debauchery that involved scantily clad young women in some capacity. Ranging from wet t-shirt and sexy banana eating contests, this joint made no apologies for being sleazy and never pretended to be something it wasn’t and when the stage wasn’t being used to debase women, it played host to an amazing array of national touring bands as well as popular local acts. It’s iconic, animated Las Vegas style marquee stood on Bardstown Road from the time it opened it’s doors in 1973 until last call in 1999 and then it hung around for some time after that as the building sat empty, falling into disrepair and then being razed to make way for a gas station.

Located in Miami's Little Havana, they were the hot spot for live music including everything from Afro-Cuban jazz and traditional Conga to Mambo and Mozambique. Description: P.J.’s Hollywood was a Parisian style go go club owned by Bill Doherty, Paul Raffles, Phil Tanzini, and Elmer Valentine, friends and associates from Chicago. They opened P.J.’s in 1961, taking the name from the initials of Paul and his girlfriend, Judy, who had previously run a successful club in Chicago called The Black Orchid. The goal was to create a late night destination that became the place to be when all the other nightclubs called it a night. The clientele was a mixture of celebrities, swingers, and criminals, but once they crossed under the backlit “les Poupées de Paris” (the dolls of Paris) sign, these night owls all had one thing in common – they were looking for a good time.

Description: Le Bateau played host to hundreds of Liverpool revelers every weekend for 20 years from its nondescript Duke Street location that served up fresh beats and cheap drinks. From resident DJ's to live music, 'The Boat' gave generations of clubbers and gig goers some of the best nights of their lives with two different floors to dance your cares away. When the venue first opened its doors, the area was on the outskirts of town, which meant revelers would have to make an effort to get there. This was a good thing as it eliminated a lot of the randoms and really helped create the amazing vibe Le Bateau was known for. Today, the area is no longer considered the fringe of Liverpool and the location has new life as a hotel.
