Description: Speed-O-Motive got their start manufacturing custom pistons for flathead racing engines, but eventually began distributing speed parts and offering high-performance engine rebuild kits for pretty much every V8 application out there. If you couldn't swing by their Los Angeles area shop, you could mail order your parts, even complete engines after they begin offering turn key balanced and blueprinted crate racing engines. These crate strokers all ran Speed-O-Motive racing pistons, and the rest of the build leveraged top shelf goodies from other manufacturers.

Description: Carl's Speed Shop is a legendary name in high-performance motorcycle tuning, known today as a go-fast landmark in Daytona Beach, Florida. But long before it became a destination for speed enthusiasts on the East Coast, Carl's Speed Shop had its roots in Whittier, California, where it operated until 1996. Founded by Carl Morrow, a pioneer in motorcycle performance and drag racing, the shop built its reputation on making American iron faster, louder, and more powerful. In Southern California's hotbed of car culture, Carl spent decades tuning engines, crafting performance parts, and pushing the limits of speed.
Description: DG Racing was started out as a motorcycle parts company, taking its name from founders, Dan and Gary. Gary's son Kevin was both into competitive MX and BMX racing, so DG also got into BMX in 1975. In 1976 they hired Chuck Robinson (later of Robinson Racing) to run the BMX team and help design their bikes, which were produced through 1981. DG Racing had never stopped producing MX products and continued to do so after their foray into the world of BMX and to this day, their bikes remain highly sought after by collectors.
Description: Perfect Products began forming fiberglass hoods, scoops, and body panels in the early '60s as a white label supplier to other companies. By the late '60s, they had had started advertising direct sales in the various hot rod and drag racing magazines, selling via mail order though their catalog. Whether you needed a bolt on hood scoop or a one piece front clip, Akron, Ohio's Perfect Products was the best in the business.

Description: Gambler Chassis Co. designed what would become one of the most popular new outlaw sprint racing chassis designs in decades in 1980. The chassis thoughtfully laid out to be both extremely rigid and modular for repair work or even customization. The success of the Gambler-based cars led to countless copycats and many of the original design features are now standard among modern chassis builders. While Gambler built sprint cars are long out of production, most of those they made are still tearing up the track and are hardly sought after by racers, so when one comes up for sale, it's safe to say that it doesn't stay on the market for very long.
