Description: 19th century print depicting Dr. Joseph Warren, newly commissioned as a Major General, standing on the redoubt walls during the Battle of Bunker Hill. Warren was deeply involved in patriotic organizations in Colonial Massachusetts as a member of the first three Provincial Congresses and a member of the Massachusetts Committee of Public Safety. He sent William Dawes and Paul Revere on their " Midnight Ride ", was involved with the battle of Lexington and Concord and arrived at Bunker Hill volunteering to fight as a private. Warren was offered the role as commanding officer during the fight which he declined. He died during the last part of battle at the age of 34.
