Before the internet, you could also buy tickets for upcoming concerts. Unfortunately, the popularity of buying online grew and Strawberries would soon fade. Locations included Texas, Maryland, New England and Mid-Atlantic states.
Description: The Musicland Group, Inc. was an entertainment company that ran Musicland, Sam Goody, Discount Records, Suncoast Motion Picture Company, On Cue, and the Media Play Superstore Chains. The Musicland Group was purchased by Best Buy in 2001 at the height of Musicland's success, which ultimately led to its demise. Jack Eugster was the CEO of The Musicland Group, from 1980, until February 2001. Its headquarters were in Minnetonka, Minnesota.

Description: When I was in highschool in the mid-'80s and starting to delve into alternative culture, I kept hearing about this place called Cellophane Square in the University District. It was supposed to have punk and goth band t-shirts, records and tapes, all kinds of underground merchandise and was where you'd buy tickets to punk shows. Having grown up on the Eastside, hanging out at Bellevue Square as a kid, I pictured Cellophane Square as a punk rock mall. Imagine my surprise when I finally turned 16 and could drive to Seattle and found out Cellophane Square was a tiny, packed record store just off the Ave on 42nd (now the home of a Taco Del Mar).
Description: It looks like it’s going to be a fun time with this kitschy Retro Girls’ Night In. The 1960’s style, minimalist art design features two women with pink cocktails in a thoroughly mid century modern, aqua and turquoise living room. These ladies certainly know how to relax. The raven haired beauty in the flirty, green dress is lounging on the atomic sofa. Her blonde companion is sitting on a zebra print rug, wearing a red top and tight, black pants. The vintage, vinyl record player and paper lantern light fixtures set the mood. A framed, space age, globe art print hangs above the mod sofa.
