Sir Socks
Description: "I like big butts" The Sir Mix-a-Lot classic "Baby Got Back" in the Archaic Rap Meme Style. It's a vintage style illustration of a woman wearing an old fashioned dress, the caption in an Old English style font reads "I'm fond of large posteriors and I cannot utter a falsehood."
Description: London and North Eastern Railways (LNER) A4 Class 4-6-2 locomotive 60007 “Sir Nigel Gresley” (built in 1937) on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. This image was taken in 2012 near Goathland, home of the TV series heartbeat. The locomotive looking resplendent in the blue livery colour popped against this black and white image
Description: Calling all pun lovers and meat enthusiasts! This hilarious "Sir Loin" design features a regal medieval scene where a lady of the court knights a proud, juicy steak. A clever wordplay on “sirloin,” this meme-worthy tee is perfect for grill masters, pun addicts, BBQ fans, and anyone who enjoys a good foodie joke. Whether you're heading to a cookout, ren faire, or just want to bring a smile to people's faces, this shirt brings the sizzle with style.
Description: "Stevie" was only the second piece I did when I started this particular pop art adventure in early 2015. It's got many of my staples, but one of my techniques that I don't use quite as much as I would like is the thick-lined color gradients you see here. On this one, I went with a circle that evolves into elliptical waves emanating from Stevie Wonder's amazing mind. For my color gradient technique, inward to outward I use dark to light gradients on the main image and light to dark on the background palette. The result is a surreal, psychedelic effect I have not seen used in art before, which is one of the reasons I am proud of this piece and the technique.
Description: Just something totally ridiculous and fun. Tom Jones really is a great singer though.
