Star Goddess Socks
Description: The goddess Cerridwen takes center stage in this rendition of the tarot card The Star. She kneels in front of her cauldron brewing a concoction denoted in her magical spell book. Smoke rises & surrounds the enchantress as a star shines brightly in the sky. Seven glowing lights flow through the smoke representing each elemental chakra. The smoke splits into five separate rivulets. A raven sits on a branch watching the Celtic goddess. Cerridwen's witchy items are shelved inside a hollowed out tree.
Description: Malina is the Sun goddess of the Inuit people who live in Greenland and there is a story of how she and her brother came to be, but as a heads up, it's a little out there. Malina and her brother, the Moon-god Anningan, lived together and used to play games. But once adults, things changed. One night, while they were playing in the dark, Anningan forced himself on his sister. She ran as far as she could into the sky, where she became the Sun. Anningan, showing no remorse for his crime, continued to chase his sister in the sky where he became the Moon. This eternal race makes the Sun alternate with the Moon in the sky. But occasionally, the Moon-god reaches the Sun goddess and forces himself on her again, causing a solar eclipse.

Description: The triple moon is a Goddess symbol that represents the Maiden, Mother, and Crone as the waxing, full, and waning moon. It is also associated with feminine energy, mystery and psychic abilities. You often see this symbol on crowns or other head-pieces, particularly worn by High Priestesses. The Maiden represents enchantment, inception, expansion, the female principle, the promise of new beginnings, youth, excitement, and a carefree erotic aura. The Mother represents ripeness, fertility, fulfillment, stability, and power. The Crone represents wisdom, repose, and compassion.
Description: Ishtar also commonly followed under the name Inanna is in many ways a goddess embodying the strength and the power of the divine feminine. A pillar of sacred power, Love, graciousness, ferocity, seductiveness, allure, mystery, fertility, maternity, beauty and strength. She symbolises war, sex, justice and political power! There are also references to higher consciousness, enlightenment and cyclical change and rejuvenation. 🌀🐍🌈 Many of Ishtar’s Sacred symbols are referenced in this piece, but this portrait also symbolises personal resilience and transformation in the emergence of ones own power, for my muse in this collaboration. I feel honoured to have worked on this piece with Bekah, for Bekah and for all the strong women and men tha
