Superstition Socks
Description: This piece depicts a hand with stars and moons symbols covering it, it also includes the all seeing eye on the palm, which represents spiritual intuition. As the artist I intend for this piece to mean great wisdom and spiritual intuition, which radiates out from the hand with cosmic rays. I used the hand to tie this design to palmistry, with the idea that your future is laid out in your palm. You may also like to interpret this design similar to the Hamsa hand, as a symbol of protection from the evil eye and jealous on-lookers who might curse you with their jealousy. I will leave you to draw whichever meaning from this piece as you see fit.

Description: In Arkansas folklore, the Howler is a legendary creature said to dwell in the Ozarks. According to tradition, the creature is bear-like in shape with a gray colored, shaggy coat. In December 2015, the Arkansas television station 40/29 News reported that it had received photographs purported to be images of the creature from a viewer. The station contacted the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, who responded that they had heard of no claims of sightings of the creature, and said that the images sent to the station were a hoax.

Description: "Stevie" was only the second piece I did when I started this particular pop art adventure in early 2015. It's got many of my staples, but one of my techniques that I don't use quite as much as I would like is the thick-lined color gradients you see here. On this one, I went with a circle that evolves into elliptical waves emanating from Stevie Wonder's amazing mind. For my color gradient technique, inward to outward I use dark to light gradients on the main image and light to dark on the background palette. The result is a surreal, psychedelic effect I have not seen used in art before, which is one of the reasons I am proud of this piece and the technique.
