Description: I discovered this nocturnal architectural highlight of the Teatro Massimo in Palermo on 20 April 2022 in the late evening during my photographic Easter trip. The photograph was taken with a NIKON D800 camera (lens: NIKKOR 50.0 mm f/1.4). The coloured lighting lends the magnificent opera house a particularly attractive and festive aura. Teatro Massimo in Palermo The Teatro Massimo Vittorio Emanuele in Palermo is the largest opera house in Italy and one of the most significant in Europe. The monumental building on Piazza Verdi combines neoclassical architecture with magnificent Art Nouveau interiors and is today a cultural landmark of Sicily.
