He is best known for his tenure in the World Wrestling Federation (WWF, now WWE) from 1986 to 1991, where he performed under the ring name The Honky Tonk Man. Description: A dusty outlaw-country statement for anyone who prefers cracked amps, honest songs, empty highways and real honky-tonk spirit over polished Nashville gloss. Vintage bootleg typography, desert-road imagery and distressed western print textures give this design the feeling of a forgotten record-store classic.
Description: A weathered country print built around the lonesome elegance of George Jones: Texas roads, fading roses, old microphones and the unmistakable atmosphere of a midnight honky-tonk. Illustrated like a forgotten 1970s letterpress concert piece, with distressed ink, restrained western typography and a classic record-store palette.
Description: The Honky Tonk man began as a goofy gimmick that, had you presented this guy to me as a great superstar, I would have thought that you were joking with me. The fact is that The Honky Tonk Man is one of the most underrated men in wrestling history simply for his gimmick. He was never world title worthy, but he had the longest reign ever with the Intercontinental Championship.
Description: A dusty postcard from the kind of Texas honky-tonk where the road goes on, the guitar stays close, and nobody is quite sure when the night is supposed to end. Inspired by the wandering troubadour spirit, Luckenbach-era Texas country, and the mischievous outlaw storytelling associated with Jerry Jeff Walker.
