Description: I've been threatening to do this for years, hand colouring my original black and white photo, taken trackside at Mallory Park, to the actual sampled colours of the day. Sheene starts from 14th at Mallory Park, UK, and wins. Even King Kenny Roberts of the USA described Sheene as the greatest motorcycle racer of all time. Here he wheelies out of a bend. Losing was never in his plans.
Description: Tobias Speed Equipment was founded by legendary race car driver, Dick "Toby" Tobias in 1962. The speed parts manufacturing business was based in Lebanon, Pennsylvania and Tobias' nearly three hundred wins in modifieds, sprint cars, and stock cars undoubtedly playing into Tobias Speed Equipment becoming an undisputed leader in the development of tubular chassis for modified race cars. Sadly, Tobias was killed at Flemington Speedway in 1978, leaving the business to be run by his family until it's closure in 2003.
Description: Specialty Records was an American record label founded in Los Angeles in 1945 by Art Rupe. It was known for rhythm and blues, gospel, and early rock and roll, and recorded artists such as Little Richard, Guitar Slim, Percy Mayfield, and Lloyd Price. Rupe established the company under the name Juke Box Records but changed it to Specialty in 1946 when he parted company with a couple of his original partners. Rupe's daughter, Beverly, restarted the label in the 1980s. The record label was sold to Fantasy Records in 1991 and is now part of the Concord Music Group. The music publishing unit was sold to Sony/ATV Music Publishing.

The chassis thoughtfully laid out to be both extremely rigid and modular for repair work or even customization. The success of the Gambler-based cars led to countless copycats and many of the original design features are now standard among modern chassis builders. While Gambler built sprint cars are long out of production, most of those they made are still tearing up the track and are hardly sought after by racers, so when one comes up for sale, it's safe to say that it doesn't stay on the market for very long.
