Description: SHAEF was the nickname of the Supreme Headquarters Allied Expeditionary Force and was the headquarters of the Commander of the Allied forces in northwest Europe, from late 1943 until the end of World War II. U.S. General Dwight D. Eisenhower was the commander in S.H.A.E.F. throughout its existence. The position itself shares a common lineage with Supreme Allied Commander Europe and Atlantic, but are actually different titles.

The 39th New York Infantry Regiment, which saw action in many of the war’s most important battles, wore the plumed hat of the Italian Bersaglieri into battle to honor their Italian Roots! Description: A war-weary Tommy sits thoughtfully, head bowed, rifle in hand, as he reflects upon the sheer horror of World War One during the first minute after peace was declared in 1918. This imposing metal sculpture, entitled 1101, owing to the fact the armistice went into effect at 11am on November 11, 1918, stands 9ft 5ins tall and weighs 1.2 tonnes. Built out of special corteen steel, it has been installed on Seaham seafront in Country Durham to mark the centenary of the start of the Great War. Created by local artist Ray Lonsdale, the sculpture is also intended to represent Post Traumatic Stress Disorder which many of the returning soldiers endured.
Description: I was hired to design England and WW2 themed iPhone covers by a third party. This was their final pick in the sketches I had provided, yet they never actually purchased the last product. So here we are. I was personally more fond of my other sketches, perhaps I will complete some of them at some point too~~! (2012)
