Xd Socks
Description: Introduced in 1982, the XE was a revised version of the XD Falcon. Its external differences were restricted to a new nose, new rear bumper, and taillights, along with new full wheel covers for the Fairmont, and 15 in alloy wheels for the Fairmont Ghia. Significant mechanical changes included revised six-cylinder engines with two-stage carburettors or optional electronic fuel injection, an optional five-speed manual transmission with overdrive, and the introduction of a new rear suspension system incorporating progressive rate coil springs, four trailing arms and Watt's linkage on all sedans. Wagons, utes and vans retained the rear semi-elliptical leaf springs as used on XD models. (info from Wikipedia)
Description: The XF Falcon continued the sales leadership of its predecessor, the XE. It remains Ford Australia's best-selling Falcon model ever with 278,101 built. The production total was boosted by a prolonged run of the utility and panel van models, Ford not having developed an EA Falcon-based replacement for the commercial vehicle range. Between 1993 and 1999, this series provided the platform for the Falcon utility (XG and XH) that was sold alongside the fifth-generation Ford Falcon sedans and wagons. (info from Wikipedia)
