A black and White image of 46100 Royal Scot photographed on the Severn Valley Railway at Highley Station in October 2015. The engine driver is offering the single track working token to the Signalman who is just out of shot. Without the relevant token the train can't proceed along the single track sections. Royal Scot was built in 1927 by London Midland & Scottish Railway for the express service from London to Birmingham, Manchester through to Glasgow. She was chosen to appear on behalf of Britain at the 1933 'Century of Progress' exhibition in the USA and toured the USA and Canada covering 11 194 miles.
