A Sign of Spring - Green Onions Sticker

Spring Green Onions in Colored Pencil, by Conni Schaftenaar This was done as a "play challenge" made by fellow artist Laurel Adams. She sent a photo of a bunch of beautiful green onions she had gotten at her local farmers' market and challenged me to play! She has her own, much more complex version with the two bunches of onions shown in her photo. I chose to simplify and do one bunch, and created a streaky, patchy blue and purple background for them. Like the song says, "deep greens and blues are the colors I choose"! (thanks to James Taylor for that wonderful line!).
