Heraldry of the 320th BW. It was deactivated as a Bomb Wing and now serves as an Air Expeditionary Wing at Bolling AFB. The 320th Bomb Wing fought in WII and Vietnam. The 320th Bombardment Group (Medium) was activated on June 23rd, 1942 at MacDill Field (now MacDill AFB), Florida. The bomb squadrons which composed the group were the: 441st, 442nd, 443rd and the 444th BS. The 320th deployed to North Africa from December 1942 to January 1943 equipped with the Martin B-26 Marauder. The 320th operated from bases in Algeria, Tunisia, Sardinia, and Corsica until November 1944. During April and July of 1943, the group flew missions against enemy shipping and supported the Allied invasion of Sicily.
