Thomas Sullivan Magnum IV is a fictional character on the American television series Magnum, P.I.. The series final episode reveals that his full correct name is Thomas Sullivan IV, and not III.1 As the title suggests, the character Magnum is a private investigator. In the original series, Magnum was portrayed by Tom Selleck. Jay Hernandez portrays the character (updated to Thomas Sullivan Magnum IV, however not a direct relation to the original iteration of the character) in the 2018 reboot series.
