That was certainly the case with Verlaine Lalouche, a French fairy and her lovely cousin Marcellin Terrebonne, who made her home in the wild & mysterious New World. They had decided to rendezvous in Switzerland to rest up for an exhaustive European tour and so found themselves in Neufchatel, flitting around fragrant cafes and ancient forests. Description: After indulging in several glasses of finest emerald absinthe, Sabina finds herself longing for a call from a certain oafish lummox. However, the circumspect Marzipan has wisely and discreetly disconnected the telephone. This original collage has been constructed on a 4” x 6” x 1/2” handpainted gallery canvas of hand cut and assembled vintage images and is accented with jaqcuard satin ribbon, brass corners and a green crystal. Backed with art paper, signed and fitted with hanging hardware, this piece does not require a frame to hang. This original artwork and story are copyright 2014 Ramona Szczerba. Those rumors were ultimately dismissed as nothing more than an effect of the extremely high alcohol content and absinthe has made a comeback with nearly 200 brands being produced today.
