Description: Pelicans are often seen as symbols of resourcefulness, generosity, and self-sacrifice. In many cultures, they are associated with nurturing and parental care, as they are known for their unique feeding behavior of storing fish in their large bills to feed their young. In Christian symbolism, the pelican is a symbol of Christ's sacrifice and resurrection, as it was believed that pelicans would wound themselves to feed their young with their own blood. Additionally, pelicans represent teamwork and cooperation, as they often hunt in groups and work together to catch fish.
Description: I captured the original sketch of this scene in my sketchbook while travelling in Croatia. We were sailing from one city to another. The scenery around us were just so incredible and calming. I remember wishing to just freeze the time for a brief moment to enjoy it for a little longer.
