Description: I guess everybody knows that wasps are attracted to anything sugary but admittedly, while being highly aware of honeybees and bumblebees and other wild bees, I've never thought much about what wasps feed on early in the year when there is no fruit. The other day I saw this wasp sipping nectar from the flowers on one of my blackcurrant bushes, so there you have it: they like flowers too! Canon EOS 60D DSLR
