This is an image of an archway within the grounds of the Temple of Literature (Văn Miếu – Quốc Tử Giám), in Hanoi, Vietnam. Archways such as this allow you to walk from one courtyard to another within the grounds. The temple was established in 1070 with academic learning at the forefront. What I love about the image is the simple architectural style reflected in the archway and the way it frames the gardens beyond.
