Frantz Fanon was an important internationalist thinker and activist in the struggle for independence in Algeria. His book "The Wretched of the Earth" from which this quote comes, is as important and relevant for anti colonial/ anti neo-colonial activists today in the as when it was written. This quote which looks at the psychology of revolt and revolution when being oppressed becomes unbearable. it is also significant in its echos of the oppression inflicted on George Floyd and other victims of Police brutality. This is a suitable gift or statement for activists fighting oppression everywhere. A meaningful present for the activist in your life.
