The Big Palm is an art print I created using an abstract watercolor technique. This technique uses strong lines and abstract shapes to create a clean modern look. The perspective in this print is the view from the ground looking up the trunk of a palm tree to the palm fronds. It is like looking up the pole to an umbrella with the fronds popping out from the tree in a circular pattern all the way around. It’s an interesting perspective and creates a unique print. Design inspired by a photo I took in Palm Springs

This design features an arrangement of fern fronds.

Rainbow parrots perch on rare tropical plant leaves. Parrots were originally photographed in Xcaret in Mexico. Parrots and leaves are all painted in watercolor, watercolor pencil, and gouache.
