Despite an alcoholic father who left her family when she was still very young, and a mother who made a living by doing laundry, Constance Talmadge escaped her past and became one of the biggest stars of the silent film era. Her friend Anita Loos, who wrote many screenplays for her, appreciated her "humor and her irresponsible way of life." Imagery selected based on aesthetic and resolution, and modified to negate the imperfections of time.

It is, also, an "open air" Byzantine museum, with 75 byzantine and post-Byzantine churches and more than 3.700 square meters of byzantine frescoes covering a period of about 7 centuries. You can see the interior of some of those churches, but to do so, first you have to go to the Byzantine Museum, located at the top of the old Byzantine Acropolis (where you can also see a very rare collection of portable icons, and the process of restoration) and ask for the escort of one of guards of the museum.
