Cape Cod Beach

Cape Cod Buoys - Floating devices that can have many purposes. They can be anchored or allowed to drift with the sea wave. A buoy aids pilotage by marking a maritime channel, hazard and administrative area to allow boats and ships to navigate safely. Some navigational buoys are fitted with a bell or gong, which sounds when waves move the buoy.

Remembering Thompson’s Clam Bar. A Cape Cod summer institution located on Wychmere Harbor in Harwich Port MA. It had 450 seats and served up to 2,000 dinners a night. Such wonderful memories of our family dinners there, feeding seagulls and watching the boats come and go. And of course their famous jingle: “Hey! Where ya goin’? I’m goin’ to Thompson’s Clam Bar. Because that’s where the Tastiest Clams Are!” This is the NEW HIGHER RESOLUTION VERSION.

The Cape Cod CodFish - Although you may be miles away from the fried clam strips and horseshoe crabs of Cape Cod, nothing says summer like Cape Cod, a unique and colorful seaside community on the spit of land off the coast of Massachusetts. Cape Cod received its name for its abundance of codfish. Fishing and seafaring have long been an integral part of this community, as well as the relaxed and playful attitude that seems to permeate this Oceanside living.

Remebering the iconic Bonatts Bakery & Restuarant in Harwich Port, Massachusetts. They had delicious jelly donuts, but are best remembered for their melt-a-ways, which were a light horseshoe-shaped danish without the jelly.
