Description: Remembering Fries and Schuele Department Store in Cleveland. FRIES & SCHUELE CO., one of Cleveland's pioneer dry goods stores, was also the west side's oldest department store. The original company was founded in 1868 and closed in 1979. It was located on West 25th Street near Lorain Ave across from the Westside Market. As an incentive to customers they gave out Blue Stamps.
