Description: The Sigil of Lucifer contains a couple of symbols: “X” symbolizes power in the physical plane. The inverted triangle – a symbol for water, “V” at the bottom symbolizes duality. The whole symbol looks like a chalice which represents creation. The image originates in the 16th century Italian Grimoirium Verum, or “Grimoire of Truth.” Used in conjunction with other symbols, its original purpose of the sigil was to aid in a visual invocation of the angel Lucifer. The Sigil of Lucifer was originally drawn to represent Lucifer. Today it represents both Lucifer and Satan. The Sigil of Lucifer is also known as the Sigillum Luciferi, Sigillum Diabolus, Sigillum Satanas, Sigil of Satan and Seal of Satan.
