Pastel on Canson Mi-Teinte 'Tex' paper - 55cm x 35cm approx. The grey box eucalyptus trees are currently in blossom where I live, and are absolutely abuzz with bees! Honey being manufactured by the gallon!!!! This is a commission for someone who requested a flowering gum with some raindrops as a retirement present. I hope they like it!!! When I commenced this painting it was very hot! I had the branch of blossom pinned up in my studio and was spraying it with water to get the droplet effect. Every now and then I gave myself a squirt in the face too!

Pastel on Canson Mi-Teinte 'Tex' Paper (Cobalt Blue) - 75cm x 45cm approx. An evening scene just as the sun has disappeared behind the hills. Painted predominantly with "Rusty Tone":http://abetterpastel.com/index.htm handmade pastels which were a recent birthday present. These pastels are manufactured by Australian RedBubbler "Leigh Rust":http://www.redbubble.com/people/wildatart, and I found them great to use, especially for layering. This is a similar scene to one I did for a painting which I donated to an auction awhile ago, except that version was half the size and I used Colourfix Gold paper. I think the blue paper worked better, and I am very happy with the result. *Featured in Australian Country Towns - June 2013*

Pastel on Mi-Teinte 'Touch' paper (Twilight) I recently made a trip to the Tumut area of New South Wales, where there is some lovely scenery.

Pastel on Mi-Teinte 'Tex Paper (burgundy) 55cm x 45cm approx. This painting depicts two fire fighters at Trawool, Victoria. The rainbow was caused by a small leak in the hose, and hence the title! I have used this work in an exhibition during Easter 2016. A group of artists get together each year to hold an exhibition at a Fire Brigade. This year it is at Glenaroua. Commission from sales is donated to the brigade to add to funds to buy much needed equipment.

Pastel - 55cm x 35cm approx. Jamieson is a very picturesque area of Central Victoria, and I visit it often. I love painting water.

Pastel on Mi-Teinte 'Tex' paper - approximately 45cm x 45cm Found this rather rugged track (only suitable for 4 wheel drives) during a recent visit to the Jamieson area of Victoria. There were some amazing eucalypts and wonderful scenery, but some very scary areas where the track almost disappeared at the top of very high ridges! My husband had a wonderful time, but I thought I would never see civilisation again!

Pastel on Colourfix paper (burgundy) - 70cm x 50cm There are many of these magnificent River Red Gum trees in the area of the Goulburn River, near Seymour, Victoria. This painting was one of the first to sell at my solo exhibition ("My Easel and Eye") a few years ago. The late evening is my favourite time of day for artwork.
