As a boy at I would watch the swallows gather in large numbers on the wires, young and old, preparing for their long journey ahead. Over the English channel, down through western France, across the Pyrenees, down eastern Spain into Morocco, and across the Sahara. Some following the west coast of Africa avoiding the Sahara, and others traveling further east and down the Nile Valley. Their departure would sadly symbolise the end of summer and I would look forward to their return each spring.

How many walls we have to built to stop the migrant people dreams? After Berlin Wall was toppled 65 countries have erected fences on their borders. We know all too well that building walls is never a solution. The First World countries should be working together to help and provide humanitarian assistance to those in need. Bridges are much more effective than walls.
