Mousehole is a village and fishing port in Cornwall, England, UK. It is approximately 2.5 miles south of Penzance on the shore of Mount's Bay. The village is in the civil parish of Penzance. An islet called St Clement's Isle lies about 350 metres offshore from the harbour entrance.

Mousehole Harbor Boats Panorama This is a combination of 12 photographs overlapped and stitched together using computer software to make a wide screen image that fits in so muck more detail. I just love this quaint little fishing village on the coast of Cornwall. Mousehole is a little gem of a find and worthy of a few hours of your time. Everything is centered around the harbor as you would expect of a village built around a harbor. I used the boat in the foreground as a bit of interest and a sense of place and without seeing all of the boat you almost know that you are in Cornwall and looking at a typical Cornish landscape. Mousehole Harbour, Cornwall, England, Selective Colouring Mousehole is a historic fishing village dating back to the 13th century – a market started here in 1292, and it was a popular West Cornwall fishing town. It was much more significant throughout the medieval period than neighbouring Penzance, which is much larger nowadays. Due to where it is positioned, the seas here were particularly turbulent – which meant that the Mousehole sailors gained quite the reputation for being very tough!

Mousehole Harbour Mousehole – a picturesque fishing village in a beautiful setting. Like Newlyn and Penzance sacked by a Spanish raiding party in July 1595 when the whole village except one house was burnt to the ground. That house, Squire Keigwins, whose owner lost his life defending it, is now the oldest remaining. A hundred years ago it was a bustling place, with the harbour crowded with fishing boats, landing locally caught pilchards, destined to be packed into barrels. Mousehole Harbor Fishing Boats, Cornwall, UK The stunning fishing village of Mousehole in Cornwall, UK, England. Old fishing boats litter the harbour in this coastal scene. The small fishing and pleasure boats wait patiently in the quaint harbour for the tide to lift them high enough out of the water for them to be able to set sail once more. Waiting for the Tide is a scene of Mousehole, in Cornwall. It's a beautiful harbour which I sense hasn't changed much over the centuries. the boats still wait patiently for the sea to come in.
