Description: The Mars-7 Treaty was signed in Brussels in 1997 by President Ellen Wilson and Premiere Mikhail Gorbachev to bring a new era of cooperation. The treaty was joined by Japan, India, the ESA, North Korea, and the Coalition of Communist Countries for Spaceflight (CCCS). Canada and China remained independent to pursue their own priorities in space.
