You know the key card is supposed to be carried around without a problem, yet you still handle it like one wrong move could erase its ability to open the door. Every time you put your phone in your pocket, you check where the key card is first. Maybe nothing would happen, but you're definitely not testing that theory while standing outside your hotel room with your luggage, wondering whether the door will actually open.
