Coin Castle was a casino located where La Bayou is today on Fremont Street in Downtown Las Vegas, Nevada. The casino was last owned by Herb Pastor and opened on 1970. The castle-themed casino later closed in 1999 to be renovated into the La Bayou, which lasted until 2016. During it's history, people would sometimes be given personalized key rings, gambling horoscopes, free wine, and more. When the casino closed in 1999, neon letters, coins, and a statue of a king that once stood over the casino, were all donated to the Neon Museum, and can all now be seen in the main boneyard.

Tropicana Ave’s 20th Century was only around for a couple of years, before becoming The Treasury, which was also around only a couple of years. 20th Century was one of a half-dozen short-lived names used by the hotel at 115 E Tropicana, ‘72: Howard Johnson Hotel. ‘75: Paradise Hotel & Casino. '77: 20th Century Hotel & Casino. '79: The Treasury. '85: Pacifica Hotel (no casino). '85: Polynesian Hotel. '89: Hotel San Remo. 2006: Hooters.

The shopping center at LV Blvd & Sahara was built in ‘59. There was a grocery store in the center. The 2440 Las Vegas Blvd address was located right across from the location of the Sahara where the now Bonanza Gift Shop stands. The circular board was built around '71 originally for Big Wheel Casino. Then later Centerfolds opened in 1975 and lasted about a year before becoming Jolly Trolley Casino. To get people interested in going there, Jolly Trolley would pass out a coupon book that was an $18 value. It included everything from a free breakfast to a free lunch to free drinks and a free phone call. These book coupons would be redeemed at the casino redemption booth. The Lady Luck was a staple of downtown Las Vegas for over 40 years. But the economic downturn that hit many gaming establishments finally forced it to close its doors in 2006. Several investors tried to remodel and reopen the iconic facility but it sat vacant until 2013 when it was rechristened as the Downtown Grand.

The Aladdin was a hotel and casino located on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada. Toy manufacturer Edwin S. Lowe originally opened the 450-room Tallyho Hotel on the property in 1962. Milton Prell purchased the hotel and began an extensive $3 million renovation of the property before reopening it as the Aladdin on April 1, 1966. A 19-story hotel tower was added in 1976. After various ownership changes, the Aladdin was closed in 1997 and demolished the following year to make room for a new Aladdin resort that opened in 2000.

El Rancho Vegas was a hotel and casino on the Las Vegas Strip, built in what would later become Winchester, Nevada. The El Rancho Vegas was the first full service resort to be built on the Las Vegas Strip, at the southwest corner of Las Vegas Boulevard and Sahara Avenue. In 1941, The Las vegas Strip was then known as Highway 91, and Sahara Avenue was then called San Francisco Avenue. The El Rancho Vegas was conceived by Thomas Hull, who owned several hotels in California and wanted to expand his operations to Las Vegas. The Riviera opened on April 20, 1955, as the first high-rise at 9 stories, and the ninth resort on the Las Vegas Strip. The Riviera Hotel was one of the oldest and well-known casino resort in Las Vegas Strip. It stopped operating in May 2015 after being bought by The Las Vegas Convention and visitors Authority which scheduled to implode the property as part of the billion-dollar project of expanding the Las Vegas Convention Center.

The Sands Hotel and Casino was a historic American hotel and casino on the Las Vegas Strip in Nevada, United States, that operated from 1952 to 1996. Designed by architect Wayne McAllister, with a prominent 56-foot high sign, the Sands was the seventh resort to open on the Strip. Home to the Rat Pack for many year.

The Ambassador “Apartments” were built in 1930 by Sam Mikulich. It was known as Ambassador Auto Court by the late 30s, and Motel by the mid 40s. Jackie Gaughan bought the complex and added a casino and changed the name again to Ambassador East. It closed sometime around the turn of the century, was demolished in 2007, but the sign remained and was restored in 2013. llamas stay for free

Opened in 1950, the casino was built on the grounds of the Last Frontier Village of the Hotel Last Frontier, and was originally named the Golden Slipper Saloon and Gambling Hall. The owner originally wanted to call it the Silver Slipper, but there already was an existing establishment with that name. The problem was solved when that small operation was purchased and closed, and the Golden Slipper became the Silver Slipper. The casino was known for its rotating slipper that sat atop the casino.On April 30, 1968, the Silver Slipper was purchased by businessman Howard Hughes in his famous spending spree of buying Vegas properties, which included the Frontier next door.

the Las Vegas Gold Key, was located at 3053 Las Vegas Blvd. Opened in 1960. Closed in 1990. Demolished during the Desert Inn Road Super Arterial project It was located across from the Stardust, by the Desert Inn and the Flame Restaurant, on the site of what is now the Gold Key Shops. It had 100 rooms, was 3 stories tall with a glass elevator, heated pool, color TV in every room, coffee shop, drug store, steak house and cocktail lounge.

Cerveza Chango is a beer featured in Robert Rodriguez films such as Desperado, From Dusk Till Dawn and Sin City. The beer is named after Chango, the Santeria Orisha of thunder, lightning, and gunpowder. You know it's a shady place if they serve Chango. Chango is a poor-quality beer. It's not improved by the facts that the staff at the Tarasco Bar not only serves it flat and warm, but also pees in each keg.

Vegas World was a space-themed casino and hotel on Las Vegas Boulevard in Las Vegas, Nevada. It was owned and operated by Bob Stupak, and was also signed as Bob Stupak's Vegas World. Stupak initially opened a small casino, Bob Stupak's World Famous Million-Dollar Historic Gambling Museum and Casino, on the property in 1974, but it was destroyed in a fire later that year. The Thunderbird opened on September 2, 1948, with 79 hotel rooms, a casino, and a bar. The cost of construction exceeded $2 million.The Thunderbird was the fourth resort to open on the Las Vegas Strip, and was located diagonally across the street from the El Rancho Vegas. It was named after the mythical Thunderbird creature, and the entrance featured two large, neon Thunderbird statues. The Thunderbird was considered a luxurious resort, and a Southwestern/Navajo theme was featured throughout the property, including portraits of American Indians.

In 1953 the 49'er Club became the Fortune Club. Various operators came and went including Cecil Lynch, Harry Gordon, and Robert Van Santen before it was combined into the Nevada Club.

The Landmark was a hotel and casino located in Winchester, Nevada, east of the Las Vegas Strip and across from the Las Vegas Convention Center. The resort included a 31-floor tower, inspired by the design of the Space Needle tower in Seattle. Frank Caroll, the project's original owner, purchased the property in 1961. Billionaire Howard Hughes, through Hughes Tool Company, purchased the Landmark in 1969
