Description: The Pixie Kitchen opened its doors on May 21, 1953, in the coastal town of Oceanlake, Oregon, which is now the northern part of Lincoln City. Owners Jerry and Lu Parks wanted to create a restaurant where families could enjoy an affordable meal and be transported to a magical fairy tale land. With decor centered around elf-like pixie characters, including animatronics, and fun house style mirrors and murals, The Pixie Kitchen quickly became a tourist destination. Of course, a theme can only take a restaurant so far, but thankfully for The Pixie Kitchen, their food was top-notch home cooking that never had anyone second guessing their slogan: “Heavenly Food on the Oregon Coast.”
