There have also been various cartoons and animated tv series based on the original comics and illustration. Moomintroll, Snorkmaiden, Moominmamma, Moominpappa, Snufkin, Little My and others are some of the most memorable characters ever created and all feature in the stories. The Moomins have become a global success and have theme parks in both Finland and Japan. The Moomins stories have been translated into 60 languages.
