When I was kid the defiant was the very first Airfix model had and at some point after that I build a Bristol Blenheim Mk 4. I knew nothing about planes than but since I have been luck enough to spend a fair amount of time around the newly restored Mk1 at Duxford. It had a rough time during the war and when you see it up close it looks obsolete by late WW2 standards. Slow and poorly defended it look much more at home at an airshow that on a bombing run. Still a very beautiful aircraft all the same.

The Bristol Blenheim is a British light bomber aircraft designed and built by the Bristol Aeroplane Company that was used extensively in the first two years of the Second World War by the Royal Air Force as a bomber. Deliveries of the newly named Blenheim to RAF squadrons commenced on the 10th of March 1937.
