Enrique’s Sombreros De Charro 1962 T-Shirt
Cowboy Hat T-Shirt
designed and sold by JCD666
While cowboy hats didn't originate in Mexico, Mexicans did improve them in the 19th century. They redesigned the hat and made it have a tall crown to provide insulation and made the brim wider to provide more shade from the hot Mexican sun, and curved the edges upwards so as not to interfere with rope work. Enrique’s Sombreros De Charro didn't open their doors in Mexico City until 1962, but Enrique was a fourth generation hatmaker who descends from those who helped shape the modern cowboy hat and continued his heritage craft well into the '90s before hanging up his hat and closing up shop.
