The Jupiter-8, or JP-8, is an eight-voice polyphonic analog subtractive synthesizer introduced by Roland Corporation in early 1981. One of the greatest analog synths of all time, the Jupiter-8 was Roland's first truly professional analog synthesizer. It was the biggest and fattest of them all! It was one of the first synths to allow its keyboard to be split and layered.
