Cold Morning on the Mountainside T-Shirt

This image was originally captured on film in February 1984. I was visiting England and took a trip to the Lake District National Park to enjoy a few days of hiking. It was my intent to climb to the top of Pavey Ark, but had to give up because the snow was too deep and icy near the top; I hadn't come equipped with crampons. Next time. That said, it did give me an opportunity to look around at the world immediately about me. This image is of a stream I would need to cross. I was really taken with how the ice had formed and then the steam flow had lessened leaving the ice adhering to the rocks but now above the water. The hardy mountain vegetation was still in its winter-brown shade. It would soon be green again, but not today.
