Survival tips from a Gallifreyan time lord.

Rigsy is a character loosely based on Banksy, the famous anonymous graffiti artist. After Clara died in the Season 9 episode, Face the Raven, one of the final scenes was Rigsy walking away from this floral tribute to Clara on the abandoned Tardis, which had been left behind when the Doctor was teleported against his will. The second I saw it, I knew I was going to paint it...because I had to have it on my wall. Now you can have it on your wall.

This is one of my favorite paintings, partly because you don’t have to be a Whovian to appreciate the Victorian portrait of Jenny Flint, a super hero member of the Paternoster Gang. I got the inspiration from a scene in which Jenny was posing for Madame Vastra (Jenny’s wife) who stood at an easel, appearing to paint. Much to Jenny’s dismay, Madame Vastra was actually working on a case instead of painting. I decided that Jenny’s pose shouldn’t go to waste, so I gave her the painting that she deserves. Also, Jenny kicks ass. I freaking love her.

This was a great scene in Season 9 of Doctor Who when we finally learned why the Doctor has the face of a person he saved long ago. (Peter Capaldi first appeared in Doctor Who in Season 4 during the Fires of Pompeii.) Later in that episode, the Doctor says something that I found particularly apt: "But you see, that's the trouble with viewing reality through technology - it's all too easy to feed in a new reality." I've watched 'The Girl Who Died' a half dozen times in the week after it aired, which isn't unusual for me after every new episode. I have been a fan of Doctor who since the 70s. Over the past few years i have done a series of Paintings from Space and time to pop art splat. This is part of the Pop Art series which is based on the swirl of the time vortex. The original painting that these images come from are much bigger and in a Wide screen style. To use these for T shirts etc I have cropped the design and modified them from my original paintings.

Prior to painting this, I asked my Twitter followers what I should paint next and the most votes were for something that expressed the relationship between the 12th Doctor and Clara. This scene immediately came to mind. I can't describe the scene without writing a hundreds of words. Let's just say, Clara totally betrays the Doctor in an attempt to save her boyfriend who had been hit by a car and killed. It just might have been my favorite scene from Series 8 because of his response after her betrayal. We should all be so lucky to experience such friendship.

While I'm not one to pick favorites when it comes to the Doctor, I am not ashamed to admit that Missy is my favorite regeneration of the Master. Michelle Gomez is simply perfect.

In the first episode of Doctor Who's 10th season, Bill Potts meets Heather, who promises to follow her everywhere.

I love the Mondasian Cyberman. The 10th Planet is one of the best stories in Doctor Who history and I love that the 10th season plays into that origin story.
