Description: Löwenbräu (German: [ˈløːvn̩bʁɔʏ]) is a brewery in Munich. Its name is German for "lion's brew". Most Löwenbräu beers are marketed as being brewed according to the Reinheitsgebot, the Bavarian beer purity regulation of 1516. Löwenbräu claims to have been founded around 1383. In 1524, Jörg Schnaitter, a pierprew (beer brewer), is mentioned in connection with the property at the address 17 Löwengrube. The brewery was first mentioned in 1746 in the Munich tax records.
Description: The Peter Hand Brewing Company was an American brewery established in 1891 by Prussian immigrant, Peter Hand, in Chicago, Illinois. The brewery continued to grow and though it was officially closed between 1920 and 1933 as a result of prohibition, the company survived and expanded several times. In 1965, an investor group purchased the brewery and renamed the company Meister Brau, intending to further expand and begin national distribution. The company spent heavily on marketing, particularly in their hometown of Chicago, and sponsored all the local sports teams, as well as a popular radio show. When the brewery closed in 1978, it was the last brewing company in Chicago.

Description: Phillip Jung Brewing Co opened in 1896 and closed in 1920 it was open for 24 years. Items from breweries of this age tend to be more common and less valuable than some breweries. Early items can still be valuable as can rarer types of items. As a Pre-Prohibition Brewery, any advertising items or collectibles are likely to be valuable and desirable to collectors as they tend to be hard to find. Phillip Jung Brewing Co was in an active brewing city. Milwaukee, WI was listed as having 74 breweries, which is quite a few. Sometimes a large number of breweries can lead to an active collecting community that will be willing to pay more for breweriana items than other collectors.

Description: The Combine Honnete Ober Advancer Mercantiles or CHOAM, essentially controls all economic affairs across the cosmos, although it relies upon the Spacing Guild for transport across space due to the Guild's monopoly on faster-than-light travel. CHOAM touched almost all products the Guild will transport, from art forms to technology and of course melange. Many Houses depend on CHOAM profits, and an enormous proportion of those depend on melange. CHOAM directorships were the real evidence of political power in the Imperium, passing with the shifts of voting strength within the Landsraad as it balanced itself against the Emperor and his supporters.
