Danny Noonan works as a caddie at the upscale Bushwood Country Club in Illinois to earn enough money to go to college. Danny often caddies for Ty Webb, a suave and talented golfer and the son of one of Bushwood's co-founders. Danny decides to gain favor with Judge Elihu Smails, the country club's stodgy co-founder and director of the caddie scholarship program, by caddying for him. Meanwhile, Carl Spackler, a somewhat-unhinged greens-keeper, is entrusted with combating a potentially disastrous gopher infestation. He employs a variety of methods to kill the gopher (e.g. shooting, drowning) without success.

The first thing I think of when I hear the word "Caddyshack" : A gopher puppet dancing to Kenny Loggins. I recommend this design on a ringer tee or baseball tee for maximum early 80s retro feel.

Danny Noonan works as a caddie at the exclusive Bushwood Country Club in Illinois to earn enough money to go to college. Danny caddies for Ty Webb, a mischievous but avid golfer and the son of one of Bushwood's co-founders. Danny tries to gain favor with Judge Elihu Smails, the country club's arrogant co-founder and director of the caddie scholarship program, by caddying for him. Meanwhile, Carl Spackler, a mentally unstable greenskeeper who lives in the maintenance building, is sent by his Scottish supervisor Sandy McFiddish to hunt a gopher that Judge Smails saw damaging the course. He attempts to kill it with a rifle and high-pressure hose but fails.

Jack Roy (born Jacob Rodney Cohen, November 22, 1921 – October 5, 2004), popularly known by the stage name Rodney Dangerfield was an American stand-up comedian, actor, voice artist, producer, screenwriter, musician and author. He was known for his self-deprecating one-liners humor, his catchphrase "I don't get no respect!" and his monologues on that theme. His breakout film role came in 1980 as a boorish nouveau riche golfer in the ensemble comedy Caddyshack, which was followed by two more successful films: 1983's Easy Money and 1986's Back to School, and with a rare dramatic role in 1994's Natural Born Killers as an abusive father.

I give him the driver. He hauls off and whacks one - big hitter, the Lama - long, into a 10,000-foot crevasse, right at the base of this glacier. Do you know what the Lama says? 'Gunga galunga...gunga, gunga-galunga,' So we finish the 18th and he's gonna stiff me. And I say, 'Hey Lama, hey, how about a little something. you know, for the effort, you know?' And he says, 'Oh, uh, there won't be any money, but when you die, on your deathbed, you will receive total consciousness.' So I got that going for me, which is nice.
