Are removing statues the "burning the books" of the 1984 or is it similar to how Germany has atoned for their part in the history of WW2? The prospect of churchill being taken down has sparked racial division in the UK after the statue in Bristol was thrown into to the river which sparks ongoing discussion around selective erasing of history.
