With the sun beating down and silhouetting the steeple and cross I thought this would make a dramatic photograph. The Chapel on the Mount is located at Goldsmith Ghost Town in Arizona.

In the book of Matthew in the New Testament of the Holy Bible, the author records Jesus' Sermon on Mount, which includes this saying. Let the Scriptures of the Bible be an encouragement and a source of comfort, peace, and wisdom to you and those whom you encounter. Remember that those who are peacemakers in this world have the distinction of being God’s children.

After speaking the eight Beatitudes on the sermon on the mount, Christ states - you are the salt of the earth; (my paraphrase) - don't lose your saltiness or you will be good for nothing. You are the light of the world; light is meant to be seen and shower light into the darkness. Do not hide your light. Go, and shine your light - "Ite, missa est".
