Colourful Sea T-Shirts

The Spirit of the Staithes is a public artwork on the quayside at the Port of Blyth in Northumberland on the North East coast of England. The artwork commemorates the old wooden staithes which stood on the spot when the port was the biggest exporter of coal in the world and is pictured here just after sunrise on a calm November morning.

Lovely calm start to the year at the mouth of the River Blyth showing the two piers which protect the Port of Blyth in the North East of England as well as an offshore wind turbine on the horizon. The orange sky reflected in the calm waters of the North Sea, with a promise of a fine day to come.

For all the puffin lovers out there! Puffin is a very unique bird but no one can deny how adorable it is! I didn't realised I have never drew a puffin before. So this is my first attempt. Abstract sunset and wave

Just before sunrise on a blustery January morning with the colourful sky over the North Sea and the piers protecting the mouth of the River Blyth in Northumberland on the North East coast of England.

Water colour painting and line drawing done in 2016. This was just a pure exploration piece testing my new water colour set. It reminds me of the sea and the heavens. I hope you are blessed by this piece as much as I enjoyed making it.

This image was taken from Blyth beach in Northumberland, looking south towards St Mary's Island and lighthouse which can be spotted on the horizon. It was just before sunrise on a cold December morning, but the colours from the sky reflected beautifully in the wet sand and the waves took on a silvery glow in the early light. This is a rework of an existing image to provide a larger file size for better quality large prints.

The sandy bay at Cullercoats in the North East of England is enclosed by two small piers and was once a thriving fishing village in the early 1800s and is now home to the Dove Marine Laboratory and an RNLI Lifeboat station. This image was taken from the North end of the bay just as the sun was rising above the horizon on a cold January morning with frost still showing on the roof tops of the lifeboat station.
